Privacy Policy for RealMax Diary

Last updated: 13 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RealMax ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information in the RealMax Diary application ("the App", package realmax.diary). We built RealMax Diary to keep your personal writing private. Please read this policy to understand what data the App uses and how it is protected.

1. Summary

2. Information the App Handles

Diary content you create

This includes the text of your entries, titles, dates, images you add, and any formatting or layout you create in the App. This content is stored in a local database on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Google Account information (only if you enable backup)

RealMax Diary offers an optional Google Drive backup feature. If — and only if — you choose to enable it, the App asks you to sign in with your Google Account and grant permission to store data. In that process the App receives basic account identifiers (such as your Google email address) needed to authenticate the backup. We do not use this to build a profile of you, and we do not share it.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

On your device

All diary entries and images are saved locally on your device. If you uninstall the App without backing up, this local data is permanently removed by the system.

Google Drive backup (optional)

When you enable backup, RealMax Diary stores your data in the Application Data Folder (appDataFolder) of your own Google Drive, using Google's drive.appdata permission scope. This is a special, hidden folder that:

5. Google API Services — Limited Use

RealMax Diary's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We only request the minimum Google Drive access needed for the backup feature (the app-specific data folder), and we do not use Google user data for advertising or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the backup feature you requested.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your diary content with any third party. The only place your data may travel is to your own Google Drive account, and only when you turn on backup.

7. Permissions the App May Request

You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

8. Data Security

Your diary data stays on your device and, if you enable backup, in your own Google Drive account protected by your Google credentials. Communication with Google services uses secure, encrypted connections. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
